Our story
From flying to the camping dream
The two founders, Benni and Markus, originally met through their shared passion for flying. When Markus was training to become an ultralight pilot, the talented pilot Benni took him under his wing. They had a great time together, which led to a close friendship.
Their paths kept crossing in the air, and so it came about that Benni, inspired by his participation in the "Campfire of Ideas" program, persuaded Markus to accompany him to Sri Lanka. There, he was to get to know the paraglider factory where Benni, together with the well-known company PHI, develops and builds paragliders.
As a passionate business camper and influencer in the German-speaking camping scene, it was a natural step for Markus to brainstorm brilliant ideas with Benni, which they are now putting into practice together. Because both of them share the dream of revolutionizing the camping scene, even if just a little!
The visionary
Benjamin Hörburger. Benni, as everyone calls him, is a trained pastry chef, but his true passion is flying. He practically grew up in the air, as his parents run a flight school in the Allgäu region. His career as a test pilot led him to renowned paraglider manufacturers, and today he works as a developer at the well-known company PHI. Together with the engineering genius Hannes Papesh, he develops paragliders, reserve parachutes, harnesses, and other accessories.
Product development is his absolute passion. He knows textiles better than his own first name and loves to "think outside the box" to develop innovative solutions from simple concepts. That's also his secret: he's not satisfied with the status quo, but constantly questions and rethinks things to improve them.
The business camper
Markus Wolf is actually a computer scientist. Together with his business partner and friend Markus (yes, another Markus), he developed software solutions for large companies. But he always approached his business trips differently: Instead of traveling to a hotel by car, train, or plane, he used his camper van for meetings whenever possible. He calls it business camping .
This experience sparked a passion for sharing his knowledge. Today, his YouTube channel, fan4van.com, is one of the largest in the German-speaking world within the motorhome community. Markus knows the people and their needs in the industry inside and out.
The result
So it only makes sense that the two of them would start a company to completely rethink the world of camping accessories and RV furniture. Benni and Markus are different types of people, but they share a common goal. They have a lot of fun doing it and hope to pass that enthusiasm on to their customers.
