What exactly are the Red Bull X-Alps?
For those who don't know: The X-Alps, or more precisely the Red Bull X-Alps, are no walk in the park! It's an extremely demanding race in which athletes cross the Alps – entirely on foot or by paraglider. The challenge is to reach 16 checkpoints in 5 countries. The distance as the crow flies is over 1280km! This year, the highest checkpoint is on Mont Blanc at 2,578 meters.
It's not without reason that it's considered the toughest adventure race in the world. An incredible challenge for body and mind that demands everything from the participants.
